Nokomis FL real estate is made up of mostly single family homes, with an increasing number of new construction townhomes.
Nokomis is a wonderful destination if you are a boater. Many Nokomis homes are located on canals or on Dona Bay, with access to the Gulf of Mexico through the Venice Jetty. Nokomis residents enjoy close proximity to local beaches and the amenities and attractions of Sarasota and Venice.

Venice Island, or "the Island" as it's called locally, is the heart of Venice FL real estate, and the essence of living in Venice.
Historic homes here have a decidedly Mediterranean flair, reflective of the street names from the origins of the city of Venice FL back in the 1920's. Most on the west side of Habor Drive have deeded beach access.

Casey Key Florida has some of the most sought after homes and real estate in Sarasota and the entire state.
The north end of Casey Key, in Osprey, is known for gulf to bay homes on oversized lots, many over an acre. Homes on the southern two-thirds of the island have a Nokomis address. Residents of Casey Key enjoy Historic Spanish Point museum, Oscar Scherer State Park, and all the attractions of either Sarasota or Venice.

Manasota Key in Englewood FL is a lesser-known Gulf of Mexico barrier island south of Casey Key.
Larger home sites on the Sarasota County portion of Manasota Key lend themselves to luxury estates, with more modest homes on the southern third of the island in Charlotte County.
Manasota Key has more of laid back old Florida vibe compared to nearby Siesta Key or Longboat Key.
